Styles & Trends: 2025 Kitchen Trends
Mid Century modern is indeed a timeless design, yet it is experiencing a significant resurgence in kitchens for 2025. We are referring to warm woods, striking finishing accents, and patterned tiles. This leads us to the flat board cabinet doors, such as the Milan, which embody midcentury minimalism. Our aim is to conceal appliances as much as possible, adhering to the principles of minimalism. The concept of a seamless modern flow should be present in your kitchen. Frequently, we opt for a mosaic backsplash, but we are advocating for larger scale tiles—potentially natural stones or quartz on the walls. This approach introduces texture and color to the walls while allowing the cabinets to maintain a lower profile, all while making a clean statement!
Tip of the Day: 2025 Interior Tips
This year truly signifies a transition into a new direction for interior design. The farmhouse aesthetic is officially out, and we are seeking greater boldness in color, moodiness, and sparkle! Incorporating color into your home can enhance the vibrancy of your daily life. The kitchen serves as an excellent area to introduce color, and we are witnessing an increase in this trend within interior design. Lighting is frequently overlooked; however, it is beginning to be perceived more as an art form in our homes rather than merely a functional element. Consider opting for something more sculptural! I previously mentioned moodiness, and indeed, moody designs come with a specific color palette. These palettes are becoming increasingly prevalent in our interiors, as we shift away from stark white, hospital-like environments towards a more inviting sense of home.

Tip of the Day: Hiring a General Contractor
It is undoubtedly alarming to entrust your home and your faith to another individual. Throughout my years of experience in this industry, I have observed that contractors tend to be quite disorganized. When interviewing general contractors for your project, the primary pitfall to avoid is selecting someone who merely tells you what you wish to hear. Their quote may be lower, and they might assure you that the job will be completed in two weeks for a specific amount, but such assurances are often misleading. A skilled salesperson will provide you with all the affirmations you desire, whereas a competent general contractor will present you with the realities you may not want to confront, as their goal is to educate you and ensure the job is executed correctly. While their quote may be higher than that of some competitors, prioritizing transparency and honesty is far more beneficial than jeopardizing not only your budget but also your overall experience.
Check it out: Decorating Trends
Decorating really ultimately comes from your personality. This could include, your hobbies, your interests, your priorities, who you share your space with and more! Decorating your house should be fun and it should be tasteful. When in doubt while decorating, let’s say…your shelves- rember to use the odd number rule! (1’s,3’s,5’s) Consider different textures, materials and heights as well for your decor. This will create an illusion of ‘layers’ in your space which then makes it appear more spacious. One of the biggest trends for decorating right now is the use of vintage pieces. That’s right! Go hit your local thrift store and find something that fits your style! Mix and match is so trendy for interiors right now! Another trend is a remix on the gallery wall trend we saw a while back. This new twist takes on a different idea other than drowning your wall with heavy frames. Try using different multimedia with your picture frames to capture a ‘gallery wall’ visual for your space. For example: metal hanging art, woven art, sculptural art and canvases. One last thing, don’t be afraid to dress up your entryway/ hallway if you can! That’s the first impression of your space.
Styles & Trends: Colors that are staying for a while and colors that are going.
Did you know the color red makes you feel hungry, rushed or irritated? When we look at fast food places like Wendys, Taco Bell and so on, a lot of them have the color red in their logos… why? Because it’s a color that makes you feel not only hungry, but like you’re in a hurry! A lot of other ones use yellow… a color that makes me people feel happy! Making sense now? When it comes to your color trends for 2025, we’re diving deep into the ‘feeling’ a space gives you when you walk into it. We want to feel more at ease! our lives are crazy and time consuming, so having a space to slow down and feel relaxed is very important. Colors that follow this idea are our earth tones! Earthy greens, terra cottas, browns, beiges, deep blues and teals will all provide that “earthy” feeling. The colors you should ditch for the next 5- 10 years are grays, whites and artificial hues like neons. Natural is better!
Tip of the Day: Your 2025 Interior
Do’s & Do Not’s
Did you know that a thoughtful color pallete will make a space feel 20 percent more inviting? One of the BIG one’s is oversized furniture. Not only does it make your space feel overwhelming and hard to navigate, but it’s also totally going out of style… sorry! DO use furniture that compliments the space’s size. One thing you might consider when buying new furniture is the variety of textures. Choosing to fill a room with furniture that all has the same texture and/ or color is an automatic DO NOT. The last thing I want to share with you for 2025 interiors is to consider your light fixtures. Lighting makes the biggest statement in your home.

Tip of the day: Things in your space that are making it look cheap.
There are so many simple ways that you can elevate the way your space appears to your guests. The first thing I always tell people is to consider a new coat of paint on your walls. Then you probably never thought about this, because who looks up anyway? Change those outdated lights for some new ones! Going along with this, your windows need some change too, so make sure you have rods that aren’t bending, blinds that aren’t outdated and curtains that fit your windows. The last thing I’ll mention is wall cords. Hide any cords from your computer, tv or lamps that may be showing. Hope these help!
Styles & Trends: Peeking into 2025
I can’t believe we are coming to and end on 2024. What a year! When were starting to think about a new year and new trends, I often start doing research. What’s all the rage right now? Texture! Were talking textured walls, textured ceilings, layering textures and more! Bonus points if it’s an earthy inspired texture as we are still holding onto our earthy home trend from 2023. Another thing to note on radar is sensory spaces, meaning aromas, music and maybe even open windows to the outdoors. Smart homes will also be emerging this next year, so keep your eyes peeled for some fun home gadgets to elevate functionality in your space!
Check it out: Understanding your budget
Maybe you’ve been trying to redo your basement to provide more room for your growing family and have no clue where to start. Maybe you need a new toilet and your bathroom flooded?! Whatever you may be dying to get done this summer, there’s always the question of “how much should I put to the side for this?”. A budget is always something that can either raise some eyebrows or cause huge sighs. Talking to an interior designer will not only get you on a realistic budget, but they can also keep you on your budget while still getting the project completed!
Tip of the Day: Tips for First time remodels
Remodels are a HUGE investment so it’s important to understand what you’re getting yourself into. The first thing I can recommend is to do your research! This ensures that you are taking into consideration whether or not your remodel ideas can even be pulled off. Professionals can usually tell you whether or not your vision is possible. The second thing would be to understand the timeline & budget of your remodel. Kitchen remodels can range depending on your space & what you want done. The timeline can look different on each project depending on what we run into when we’re tearing things out. Take into consideration that deign time is not included in the labor time. Gather your thoughts on what you want done and then bring in the professionals! This helps our process move quickly and smoothly.
